The problem
A school’s records live in separate places — admissions, attendance, fee collection, exam marks, library issue — and four audiences need different slices of the same data. Staff, teachers, students and guardians cannot share one screen, and the public site a parent actually sees is usually a third system again.
What I built
Laravel backend with a permission system of 261 permissions across seven roles — Super Admin, Admin, Staff, Accounting, Teacher, Student and Guardian — driving separate dashboards for staff, students and parents. Modules for online admission, student records, ID cards and certificates, class, section and subject setup, class and exam routines, attendance, fee groups and collection, mark registers and grading, an online exam engine with a question bank, homework, library issue and returns, and income and expense tracking. Reporting covers marksheets, merit lists, progress cards and due fees. Notice board and SMS/email templating for communication, Google Meet live classes, Stripe and PayPal payment gateways, English and Bangla language management with RTL, and a CMS that drives the public site — slider, news, events, gallery and contact.
