The context
June 2022 · Learning in production
I joined Sourcecube Technologies as a Junior Developer and entered my first professional production environment.
I worked across both backend and frontend development, learned to work with existing codebases, understand unfamiliar systems, debug production issues, work with APIs and databases, and improve application performance.
A lot of my growth during this period came from solving real problems rather than simply writing new features. I also became comfortable with professional tooling and workflows — Git, cPanel, ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot.
Good development is not only about writing code. It is about understanding the problem, working with the existing system and making the entire product work.
